The number of new coronavirus cases in Alabama soared back to more than 1,500 today.
The Alabama Department of Public Health’s Aug. 6 10 a.m. numbers show 93,402 coronavirus cases in the state, an increase of 1,626 from yesterday. The four-digit number follows two days of increases of less than 1,000.
Alabama has recorded 1,654 coronavirus deaths, up 15 from yesterday.
