A man wanted on outstanding warrants is barricaded inside a southwest Birmingham home.
The standoff began about 2 p.m. at a resident in the 3300 block of 45th Street S.W., said Sgt. Johnny Williams. The suspect - whose identity has not been released - is wanted on two felony warrants. Authorities have not disclosed the nature of the crimes of which he is accused.
Police are attempting to make contact with him and get him to surrender peacefully. They have now been on the scene for more than two hours.
