Keep an eye on the sky if you're in southwest Alabama today.
NOAA's Storm Prediction Center has placed a marginal risk of severe weather over part of that area, close to the coast.
A marginal risk means isolated severe storms will be possible.
Rain and storms are expected to move into the region from the west today ahead of a cold front, according to the National Weather Service in Mobile.
A few of those storms could be on the strong side and could contain damaging wind gusts -- and an isolated tornado.
The time frame will be later this afternoon through late tonight, according to forecasters.
Heavy rain will also be possible across a bigger chunk of southwest Alabama, which could raise the risk of isolated flooding.
