ALBANY — The Albany State Golden Rams head into the SIAC basketball tournament next week against Central State after claiming the number two spot in the eastern division. The Columbus Cougars edged the Rams 62-58 Monday night at the Arena at West Campus, 62-58, the regular season finale.
The game was close throughout the contest, nine ties and eight lead changes, but ASU struggled to keep pace over the final few minutes as they fell to the Cougars for the second time this season.
