Ninja Warrior will return to Baltimore for the first time since season five

The show will set up in Rash Field April 28-29.

When American Ninja Warrior announced its season 11 cities and taping dates, a major throwback was included on the list. The show will return to Baltimore, MD this year. It’s only been there one other time, way back in season five.

For 2019, the show will set up the course on Rash Field, which is located on south shore of the Inner Harbor on the Baltimore waterfront. On a day to day basis, Rash Field offers volleyball courts, green areas to relax, and bleachers. When Ninja Warrior takes over April 28-29, we’re sure it will look a lot different.

While we wait to find out what season 11’s visit will bring, let’s look back at some of the action from 2013.

That’s when Joe Moravsky made his stunning rookie debut.

It was the start to Jamie Rahn’s third season on the show.

Brian Wilczewski also made his debut, beating out his brother Chris with a trip to the National Finals.

If you want to take a look at some of the obstacles featured on that vintage course, watch this video of some wipeouts from the nights of taping.

We’re sure by now you’ve noticed the trend that Ninja Warrior includes either local sports teams, their mascots, or both in the broadcast to provide some local flavor. We’re looking forward to seeing the Baltimore Orioles’ Bird and the Baltimore Raven’s Poe jockeying for Warped Wall supremacy.

Of course, we can’t count out Testudo, the mascot for the University of Maryland. Turtles are known for their steady progress!

Once American Ninja Warrior wraps up in Baltimore, the course will move on to a brand new location, Seattle/Tacoma!
