South Dakota State released the non-conference portion of their women’s basketball schedule this week, completing their 2019-20 slate.

The highlight of the schedule is a road game at Oregon, the team that knocked SDSU out of the NCAA tournament last year on its way to the Final Four. Oregon beat the Jackrabbits at Frost Arena last year as well and will host SDSU on Dec. 8.

The highlights of the home slate are games against NCAA tournament qualifiers Central Michigan (Dec. 14) and Marquette (Dec. 17). The Jacks opened last season with a loss at Marquette.

SDSU will also play at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls for the first time, taking on NAIA power Dakota Wesleyan on Nov. 15. The Tigers have made consecutive Final Four appearances, including winning the 2018 national championship.

Conference play begins Dec. 29 when the Jacks visit Omaha. Their rivalry games with USD are set for Jan. 18 in Vermillion and Feb. 22 in Brookings.

The Jackrabbits are coming off the biggest season of their Division I era, having advanced to the Sweet 16 after winning the Summit League regular season and conference tournament titles on their way to a 28-7 record and their ninth NCAA tournament appearance in the last 11 years.

They graduated all-time leading scorer Macy Miller and all-time leading 3-point shooter Madison Guebert but return three starters.
