Taylor Otheim joins Hegg, REALTORS Inc. and the Dave & Co. Real Estate Team as a broker associate. Otheim is currently enrolled at the University Center majoring in Marketing and also is enlisted in the South Dakota Air National Guard.

Beau Mandel joins Hegg, REALTORS Inc. and the Tyler Goff Group as a broker associate. He is a South Dakota native who attended SDSU.

Heather Nagel joins Hegg, REALTORS Inc. as a broker associate. Nagel has been a licensed agent for the past few years.

Marcus Mahlen, broker associate at NAI Sioux Falls, earned the Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) designation in April. The CCIM is the most prestigious designation to receive in the field of commercial real estate.

Jeff Shultz, shareholder at Woods, Fuller, Shultz & Smith, has been inducted into The College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers. Established to honor attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice in the field of workers' compensation, college members are nominated for the outstanding traits they have developed in their practice.

Lawrence & Schiller took home 45 awards from the South Dakota Advertising Federation’s annual Addy’s awards show on Feb. 22 at the Washington Pavilion. Nine clients were represented in the winning line-up in addition to L&S’s own “Outthink Outdo” rebranding campaign. The top Best of Show honors went to two L&S clients: Taco John’s International for the “Coach” cross platform campaign, and to South Dakota Department of Tourism for the “Great Faces Great Places” print campaign.

Dale Uttecht, an Edward Jones financial advisor in Sioux Falls, accepted an invitation to increase his current limited partnership holdings, while Suzy Meiners, a senior branch office administrator, accepted an invitation to become a limited partner in The Jones Financial Cos., the holding company for the St. Louis-based financial services firm. Edward Jones currently employs 45,000 associates in all 50 states and through its affiliate in Canada. This is the firm's 17th limited partnership offering in its 97-year history.

Jeremy Kuiper has joined MetaBank as senior vice president and head of Meta Ventures.Prior to joining Meta, Kuiper held positions at The Bancorp since 2007, most recently serving as the executive vice president and managing director of the Payment Solutions division of The Bancorp. MetaBank is a subsidiary of Meta Financial Group Inc.

Breck Miller, community relations coordinator for Lutheran Social Service's Center for Financial Resources (CFR), has passed the HUD certification exams and is now a HUD-Certified Housing Counselor. Miller joins five other CFR staff who have already earned their  HUD certification.

Lupulin Brewing Company of Big Lake, Minnesota, and Global Distributing Inc. have inked an agreement allowing Global Distributing to distribute Lupulin’s lineup of award winning beer into the state of South Dakota,  serving the markets of Sioux Falls, Brookings, Watertown, Aberdeen, Yankton and Vermillion. Lupulin's initial exposure in South Dakota will take place April 24 in Aberdeen, April 25 at both JL Beers in Sioux Falls, April 29 at Beer School in Sioux Falls, and April 30, the entire distribution territory with release of cans and kegs.
