First Premier Bank in Sioux Falls is selling its main branch building for $3.75 million as construction crews continue to work on a five-story office building to serve as the bank’s new corporate headquarters.

The branch at 601 S. Minnesota Ave., also listed as First Premier’s corporate headquarters in Security Exchange Commission documents, is advertised as a single-tenant office building with 17,500 square feet of space, according to Bender Commercial.

First Premier executives announced in March they were moving the bank's headquarters to a newer, bigger facility planned for a spot of land at the northeast corner of 14th Street and Minnesota Avenue.

First Premier and Bender could not immediately be reached for comment.

First Premier’s new corporate headquarters is expected to open in late 2020. The new building will be 77,000 square feet, with enough space to house 125 employees. Plans show the First Premier headquarters, including a parking lot and green space, will take up nearly the entire city block between 13th and 14th streets and Minnesota and Dakota avenues.
