Sioux Falls man accused of beating kids with belt

A Sioux Falls man was arrested Thursday after police say he beat three children with a belt.
Jesse Pina, 31, was charged with three counts of abuse or cruelty to a minor, police spokesman Sam Clemens said. Pina is related to the children, two of whom are younger than 7 years old.
The biological father of one of the children brought the boy to the police station on Thursday after the boy said Pina hit him with a belt, Clemens said.
Officers went to the home and spoke with all three children, who allegedly said Pina beat them with a belt. Based on that conversation, Pina was arrested, Clemens said.
The children had marks, but their injuries were generally minor, Clemens said.
