Several flights cancelled in and out of Sioux Falls due to weather

The increase in Lyft use at the Sioux Falls Airport means an expansion of the parking lot isn't needed, but the airport is also losing out on revenue.

The Sioux Falls Regional Airport announced that many airlines have cancelled flights in and out of Sioux Falls due to the winter storm moving through the area.

Although the snow and ice predicted for this storm have not yet arrived in Sioux Falls, many airlines have chosen to cancel flights for Thursday morning, according to a post on the airport's Facebook page.

Some of the affected arrival and departure locations include Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver and Dallas. Passengers are advised to check with their airlines about the status of their flights or check the airport's website.
