A Sioux Falls man was hospitalized after he was accidentally pinned between two cars in Brookings on Wednesday, police say.

Todd Coker, 28, was injured at WW Tire Service Inc. in Brookings, said Lt. Marci Gebers of the Brookings Police Department.

Coker, who works for a different tire company, was there for a delivery, Gebers said.

Coker was standing behind his work vehicle when a WW Tire Service employee backed a truck out of a service bay and accidentally hit Coker, pinning him between the two vehicles, Gebers said.

Coker was taken by ambulance to the hospital in Brookings before being transferred to a Sioux Falls hospital, where his condition remains unknown, Gebers said.

No charges are being filed against the WW Tire employee, Gebers said.
