Sioux Falls man charged with strangling, kidnapping woman

A Sioux Falls man was arrested for allegedly strangling and kidnapping his girlfriend on Thursday.

Zachary Ryan Rosburg, 26, was charged with aggravated assault domestic and kidnapping, police spokesman Sam Clemens said.

Police say Rosburg and the 21-year-old woman were arguing about their relationship while driving on Thursday. Rosburg allegedly punched and strangled the woman while he was driving and refused to let her out of the car.

Eventually, the woman jumped out of the car and called a relative, who took her to the hospital, Clemens said. She did not have any serious injuries, he said.

Rosburg was later found and arrested.
