The Madison County Jail in Idaho confirmed that Christina Haney, 22, and Martece Saddler, 30, are inmates at the jail as fugitives from justice Thursday.

Two women wanted by Sioux Falls police in connection to a homicide at a Sioux Falls apartment building on Saturday have been arrested in Idaho.

The Madison County Jail in Idaho confirmed that Christina Haney, 22, and Martece Saddler, 30, are inmates at the jail as fugitives from justice Thursday. The two were arrested while traveling inside the state by Idaho State Police.

Material witness warrants for the women were issued Monday and an arrest warrant has been issued for Ramon Deron Smith, 34, who is suspected of shooting the three men and killing one. According to police, Saddler is Smith's sister.

Idaho State Police Lt. Chris Weadick said authorities received a call around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday from Sioux Falls police that Haney and Saddler were in eastern Idaho, according to East Idaho News. Police discovered the two women were traveling on Interstate 15 on a Salt Lake Express van.

Troopers stopped the van around 11 p.m. just north of the Spencer, Idaho exit in Clark County and the women were taken into custody, East Idaho News reported.

The women are awaiting extradition at the Madison County Jail.

Detectives believe that Saddler and Haney were in a social media dispute with another woman, whose brothers were the two surviving victims of the shooting.

Larry Carr Jr., the 42-year-old man who later died from gunshot wounds, came out of his apartment Saturday to visit a coworker who was among a group of about eight men, including two of the victims, who went to the apartment building at 120 N. Cliff Ave. on Saturday afternoon to settle the dispute.

Carr was standing in the parking lot when Smith came outside and allegedly began firing a 40-caliber handgun into the group of people. That's when Carr and two others were shot.

Witnesses say after the shooting, Smith got into a black Buick four-door sedan that belongs to Haney.

Court documents do not specify whether Smith intended to hit specific people in the group, or whether there was any connection between Smith and the three victims.

Smith has been charged with second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault, Sioux Falls police spokesman Sam Clemens said.

Smith remains at large on the arrest warrant, which carries a $1 million bond.
