Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., hosts choir rehearsals on Saturdays at 9:30 a.m., and the Bell Choir meets on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. Ladies Marathon Bridge meets on Sept. 19 at 12:30 p.m. GriefShare meets on Thursdays at 3 p.m. in the church library. If you have recently lost a loved one, this is a special group for you.

The Men's Bible Class meets on Mondays at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Please park in the rear parking lot and enter the lower level.

The Shepherd's Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. until noon. They are in need of boxed cereal. A container for your donation is in the church narthex.

The annual church potluck will be on Sept. 22 at 4:30 p.m. All are welcome .

On Sept. 24, "Different Strokes for Different Folks" meets at 2 p.m. in the church library. If you have had a stroke or other traumatic brain injury or if you care for someone who has had an injury, this is a support group for you.

First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Rogers, 905 S. 13th St., hosts the University of Arkansas Inspirational Chorale, led by Minister of Music Jeff Murdock, at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 22.

First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista, 20 Boyce Drive, hosts the annual United Methodist Women's Holiday Bazaar ffrom 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 5.

Homemade cinnamon and orange rolls and coffee will be available at 8:30 a.m., with hot chicken salad, sloppy joes and chips, stuffed baked potatoes, and dessert available after 10:30 a.m. A variety of hand-crafted items, "dignified discards," plants, homemade jams, jellies, breads and desserts and so much more will be available. All proceeds go to support local charities.

A Grandparents Support Group has formed for grandparents who are raising grandchildren. They meet the second and fourth Sunday of each month at 4 p.m. in the Parlor. The Rev. Jim Rowland is facilitating this group. This is an ongoing support group and is open to all in the community. Bring a friend.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets from 10 to 11 a.m. Fridays in the Parlor. Come for an hour of visiting and stitching.

Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rogers, 2305 S. Dixieland Road, hosts these upcoming events:

The Women's Second Sunday Brunch and Bible Study, 10 a.m. Sept. 14; Church council, 7 p.m. Sept. 18; and a Bible study on Christian doctrine at 7 p.m. Sept. 25. All meetings are at the church.

Highland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Bella Vista, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd., hosts the Disciple Women's Fellowship's Saturday brunch and study at 10 a.m. Sept. 14 with this year's theme, "The Church on a Mission." Each month on the second Saturday, they will meet and have brunch and a study.

On Sept. 15, the church will dedicate two benches donated in memory of Forrest and Harriet Strickler, longtime members very instrumental in the church's operation. The public is invited to attend the church service starting at 10:30 a.m., with the dedication at 11:30 a.m. A fellowship meal is planned following the dedication.

On Sept. 19 and 20, the annual Yard and Bake Sale is presented by the Disciples Women of Highland Christian Church from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Baked goods are available each day. Items will include household goods, décor, games, sporting goods, gardening items, books, tapes, music, children's items, toys, jewelry, men and women's accessories, crafts, etc.

The Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista, 1880 Forest Hills Blvd., hosts a Community Blood Center of the Ozarks blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 30 in Fellowship Hall. Church members can sign up in the Connector Hallway. Other Bella Vista area residents can reserve a spot by calling the church office.

United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista, 100 Cooper Road, hosts the W-ELCA Gathering at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 16. All women are invited to join in fellowship with a salad potluck and a program, "Women of the Bible." Organizers will also share their vision for next year. Movie Night is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Sept. 19 . It's free, and popcorn is provided.

Village Bible Church in Bella Vista, 1591 Forest Hills Blvd., opens the Oasis Food Pantry from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 18. A potluck fellowship dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, and the community is always welcome. At 6:30 p.m., there will be singing, devotions and prayer in the Worship Center. Infant and toddler nursery for kids is offered as well.
