Electrolux's Augusta Customer Excellence Center on Washington Road is hiring 100 service representatives who can be eligible for remote working after a month of training.

Electrolux is planning to hire 100 contract workers for its Washington Road call center, with the positions eligible for work-from-home status after 30 days.

Augusta based recruiting firm Loop announced Tuesday it will oversee the hiring of customer service representatives – which Electrolux calls "Eluxperts" – who support the company's line of home appliances on a seasonal basis.

The hourly, benefits-eligible jobs have the ability to transition to a remote working after a one-month onsite training period.

“Electrolux approached us about shifting to a work-from-home model, and we immediately started rolling out a client-specific plan to accommodate their needs,” LOOP Staffing Director Donald King said in a news release. “Our cloud-based platforms allow us to engage with working Eluxperts on a daily basis."

The company said it uses technologies that "efficiently move candidates through a virtual interview and on-boarding process.”

Those interested in applying for the positions are asked to go to LOOP's website: looprecruiting.com.

Electrolux opened its Customer Excellence Center at 2715 Washington Road in 2011. The space, part of the National Hills Shopping Center, was previously a Dillard's department store. The building was redesigned to house 300 employees.

LOOP began hiring, on-boarding and employee development at the facility in 2019. The company began implementing technology to enable remote working at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic this spring.

"The feedback from our remote Eluxpert’s has been extremely positive," LOOP's Matt Tracy said. “Absenteeism and attrition are down, handle times have improved, and customer satisfaction is up. It has been a tremendously successful experiment.”
