Drug investigation leads to three arrests in North Augusta

Three people have been arrested in North Augusta following a drug investigation into narcotics distribution from a residence.

According to the North Augusta Department of Public Safety, a search warrant was issued for a residence on the 500 block of San Salvador Drive. The SWAT team executed the warrant on the house around 8:15 a.m.

Sol Baird, 43, Phillip Workman, 35, and William Lamie, 30, were arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine and trafficking methamphetamine with proximity of a park. According to the department, all three were inside the residence at the time the search warrant was executed.

A substantial amount of narcotics was found and has been removed from the house. The suspects are currently being held at the Aiken County Detention Center.
