Bauerle Boat Ramp closed until further notice due to high water levels

Due to high water levels on the Savannah River, the Augusta Fire/EMA department announced the Bauerle Boat Ramp will remain closed until further notice.

The ramp, located at 2055 Lock and Dam Road, currently has unsafe conditions due to the high water. Recreation and Parks staff will continue to monitor the facility and reopen the ramp once water levels have receded, according to the department.

Ramps on 5th Street and the Boathouse will remain open. Residents are encouraged to use extreme caution when using the facilities in times of high water.
