City to open new Employee Wellness Center on Wednesday

The city of Augusta will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new Employee Wellness Center on Wednesday.

According to the city, the new center is larger than the current one, located on 4th street next to the Richmond County Jail. At 2,500 square feet, it will have four exam rooms, a more spacious waiting area and accommodations for additional staff.

The 1:30 p.m. ceremony is in the parking lot of the Municipal Building.
