Chick-fil-A leaders to speak Aug. 21

The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce will host its Executive Luncheon Series Aug. 21 at Savannah Rapids Pavilion at 11:30 a.m. with Chick-fil-A executives speaking on team-building.

Erik Smith, owner/operator of the Grovetown restaurant, and Ryan Bowman, senior program principle lead for the company's Field Development Team, will speak on “How to Build Your Team the Chick-fil-A Way!”

Canva workshop slated for Aug. 14

The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce's Small Business Roundtable on Aug. 14 will feature a presentation on social media design software Canva.

The program, from 7:30-9 a.m., at the chamber office, will teach small business owners to make graphics, flyers and event logos.

Meet.Mingle.Mesh. scheduled Aug. 27

The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Crowne Plaza North Augusta hotel will host Meet.Mingle.Mesh at the hotels' rooftop bar on Aug. 27.

The networking event, from 5-7 p.m., will be in the hotel's Jackson's Bluff lounge at 1060 Center St., North Augusta.

Third Thursday event scheduled Aug. 15

The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce and Augusta Office Solutions will present the Third Thursday Business Builder on Aug. 15 at the Sizemore Inc. training room at 2003 Gordon Highway.

Featured presenter Garnett Johnson will speak on "Customer Service: Balancing high-tech and high-touch" for those interested in building and maintaining a tailored, state-of-the-art customer experience.

State of the Community Address Sept. 12

The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce has scheduled its annual State of the Community Address and business expo Sept. 12 at the Columbia County Exhibition Center.

Presentations are expected from representatives of the county's commission and board of education as well as the city of Harlem and Fort Gordon.
