A woman injured last week after she was knocked down by the turbulence of a private jet during takeoff from Augusta Regional Airport is in fair condition Monday.

Suzanne Valliere, 47, was walking to a private aircraft at the airport Wednesday when she was knocked to the ground, according to an incident report. Richmond County Sheriff's Deputy Jeff Brown wrote that Valliere lacked spatial awareness and did not know what was going on after she was knocked down. She was transported to AU Medical Center.

The aircraft believed involved had left before law enforcement arrived on the scene. The Marshal's office said the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating. A message seeking comment from the FAA Regional Operations Center was not responded to Monday.
