As students in Aiken County enjoy an early release day Wednesday, they'll also gain some extra time at the Western Carolina State Fair. Gates will open at 2 p.m. with a $5 admission price until 5 p.m.

After 5 p.m., patrons can bring eight non-perishable canned items or some toys for the Augusta University Children's Hospital and receive free gate admission. For more information, visit LetsRideAiken.com.
