An Augusta man accused of shooting at a woman who came to the aid of his girlfriend during a domestic dispute was denied bond Friday.

Jacques D. Hannah, 28, is charged with aggravated assault, criminal damage to property and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime in connection with a Dec. 14 incident.

Assistant District Attorney Geoffrey Fogus said during Hannah’s Richmond County Superior Court bond hearing that a woman tried to intervene between Hannah and his girlfriend, whom he was choking. She was calling 911 when Hannah shot at her, missing her but striking her vehicle, Fogus said.

Senior Judge J. David Roper denied bond, finding Hannah could pose a danger to the community.
