North Augusta campaign highlights small businesses

Staff Reports
The initial campaign of the Flavor of North Augusta will take place through Sept. 4 and features a variety of social media posts and email blasts.

The North Augusta Chamber is looking to help spotlight local businesses that are still open amid the COVID-19 pandemic with its “Flavor of Small Business” social media campaign that kicked off Aug. 3.

North Augusta Chamber President Terra Carroll said the campaign is a way to help chamber members whose businesses are open and operating under strict CDC guidelines, complying with social distancing and routine sanitization.

“Our goal for this is to bring awareness that businesses are still open in North Augusta and the surrounding area,” Carroll said.

“Many places have adapted their business model in order to survive. Many restaurants who were traditionally dine-in only are now offering to-go and curbside service. Retail is no different, with boutiques now offering online shopping experiences through social media, as well as DIY craft businesses hosting virtual workshops.”
