Man fatally shot while in his vehicle in Phoenix

A man who was fatally shot Monday night in his vehicle on McDowell Road was identified by Phoenix police as 18-year-old Ethan Devrivera.

Officers responded to the incident reported at 8:22 p.m. west of 67th Avenue and McDowell Road, according to a police news release.

Devrivera was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Police did not release any suspect descriptions or potential motives for the shooting.

"There are indications that this incident may be drug-related," according to the news release.

The investigation is ongoing.
