Four-star prospect George Wilson of Green Run High School in Virginia Beach has Arizona State among his final four schools, according to a social media post Monday.

The 6-foot-5, 214 pound linebacker-defensive end also singles out Penn State, North Carolina and South Carolina out of the 18 Division I offers he has thus far.

Oregon, Syracuse, Tennessee, Mississippi and Wake Forest were also on his list before he narrowed it down last month.

It is a position Arizona State has prioritized with lack of a pass rush being the main problem with its defense the last two years. Wilson is regarded as a strong pass rusher and is being sought after by the most recent addition to the ASU coaching staff in Robert Rodriguez, who joined the Sun Devils after working for the Minnesota Vikings.

Wilson, who also excels in basketball, is ranked 23rd at his position nationally and ninth overall in the state by 247Sports and 34th by position and 20th in the state by Rivals.

The Sun Devils currently have seven pledges for the 2021 cycle - six from the high school ranks and one community college transfer. The most recent commitment came Sunday night from wide receiver-tight end Kamron Beachem of Oceanside, Calif.
