The Brio Tuscan Grille, one of the original business to open in the Annapolis Towne Center, will permanently close Friday night at 9 p.m., according to a manager at the location.

The restaurant had a menu “inspired by Italy,” featuring pasta, seafood, steak, seafood and more.

An employee at Trademark Properties confirmed Brio’s departure but was unsure if any new tenant has leased the space.

Food First, which acquired the Brio restaurant brand in 2018, is closing the Annapolis location, as well as the Tyson’s Corner location, spokesman Steve Coe said. Coe said the team members in Annapolis had been notified of the closure in the last week.

He said there were about 45 team members at the Annapolis location and all were offered the opportunity to transfer if they were interested.

The closest other Brio location is in Virginia.

Guests are able to get a refund on gift cards or balances on the card by contacting Food First’s Guest Relations department, which will verify the balance on the card and mail the guest a check, Coe said. To call guest relations, call 407-735-7082 and dial 3.
