Lakeview's Baum is Athlete of the Week winner for May 20-25

The fans have spoken.
The winner of the latest Enquirer Athlete of the Week fan poll is Chloe Baum of the Lakeview softball team.
Fans got behind Baum to help her edge fellow Athletes of the Week finalists Conor Gausselin of St. Philip, Chloe Leugers of Marshall and Adam Olmstead of Lakeview. Baum received 87% of the vote by the 5 p.m. Wednesday deadline. Thanks to her fans, she will receive an Enquirer Athlete of the Week T-shirt.
Baum helped Lakeview win its first All-City tourney title in softball since 1999 as the Spartans defeated Harper Creek, 18-9. Baum hit her first career home run in the championship game and pitched the final three innings for the win.
"It was a great way for Chloe to end her career here at Lakeview, winning the All-City as a senior, hitting a home run in the final game and pitching the final innings. She was a great leader off and on the field for us," Lakeview coach Brian Ratliff said.
