The iconic Tyne Bridge turns 90
It's exactly nine decades since King George V opened the Tyne Bridge, which links Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead.
While its design was based on that of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, it was actually completed before its Australian counterpart due to its smaller size.
