A "large-scale" blaze has ripped through a further education college.
Sections of cladding, classrooms and a sports hall were alight at Oaklands College in Hatfield Road, St Albans.
Hertfordshire Fire Service sent 15 pumps at 12:20 BST. Police said three people had been arrested on suspicion of arson.
The college said staff and students were safe and it would be open as usual on Monday with temporary classrooms.
Four hours after crews were called, the fire service said it was "starting to scale down".
The fire was in the Discovery Centre which is one of the largest and newest buildings on the campus.
Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue called it a "large-scale incident" and Hertfordshire Police said officers were stopping vehicles from entering the college grounds.
In a post on Twitter, the college said: "We can confirm students and staff are all safe and well."
Friday afternoon lessons were cancelled but exams continued as planned.
