Site chosen for replica Iron Age broch in Caithness

A site has been chosen in Caithness for a planned reconstruction of an Iron Age broch.
The stone-built roundhouses were some of Scotland's oldest and most formidable structures and can be found in the Highlands and Orkney.
Caithness has more broch sites than anywhere else in Scotland.
The Caithness Broch Project, which was offered a number of possible sites for its replica, has selected one in John O'Groats.
The land is beside the John O'Groats Mill and the project team is working with the John O'Groats Mill Development Trust on the plan.
Organisers of the North Coast 500 tourist route have been assisting the broch project in finding a suitable site for the replica.
The Caithness Broch Project was set up to raise greater awareness of the Iron Age structures.
