Snow and high winds affect travel in Scotland

Snow, heavy rain and high winds have affected travel in parts of Scotland.
The A9 was closed for a time at the Slochd south of Inverness and high wind warnings were issued for the Cromarty, Dornoch and Erskine bridges.
There were restrictions on high-sided vehicles crossing the Skye Bridge.
The Met Office had a yellow "be aware" warning for snow for southern Scotland on Wednesday morning. There were also snowfalls in Moray and Aberdeenshire.
The weather front brought fresh snowfalls to Scotland's mountains.
The Scottish Avalanche Information Service (SAIS) had assessed the potential avalanche risk in the Northern Cairngorms as "considerable".
In the Highlands, Kingussie High School was closed because of the weather.
High winds also brought down a tree at Drumnadrochit, south of Inverness, partially blocking the A82. Traffic Scotland warned motorists to expect delays at the scene.
Staff at the Cairngorm Mountain snowsports centre said more than 40cm (16in) had fallen at its base station, which is 630m (2,066ft) above sea level.

The locations include West Linton in the Borders and Knockandhu in Moray.
