A mother has denied murdering her four-year-old daughter.

Amelia Brooke Harris was found dead by police at her home in Trealaw, Rhondda Cynon Taf, on 8 June.

On Monday her mother Carly Ann Harris, 37, pleaded not guilty to her murder at Cardiff Crown Court.

She also denied a manslaughter charge and was remanded in custody before her trial which is due to start at Merthyr Crown Court on 10 December.

Following the four-year-old's death, her family said they had lost a "fun-loving, caring and bubbly little girl" who was "beautiful both inside and out".
