Brighton & Hove Albion Women 1-4 Reading Women: Fara Williams secures Royals win

Fara Williams
Fara Williams has scored eight goals in all competitions for Reading this season

Two goals from Fara Williams helped Reading pick up back-to-back Women's Super League victories with a win at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Williams' left-foot volley and shot from distance came either side of Brooke Chaplen's strike from inside the area from Rachel Furness' assist.

Aileen Whelan had pulled a goal back for Brighton on the hour with a header from Ini Umotong's cross for 2-1.

But Gemma Davison made sure of Reading's win with a deflected fourth.

The Royals remain in fifth after their fourth win of the league campaign while Brighton have still only won once in the top flight this season.

Hope Powell's side are two points ahead of bottom-placed Everton but have played a game more.
