Dominic Solanke scored twice for the second successive England Under-21 match

England Under-21s cruised to victory in their friendly in Denmark to extend their unbeaten run to 22 matches.

Demarai Gray opened the scoring before Dominic Solanke and Dominic Calvert-Lewin both scored two goals apiece.

Liverpool striker Solanke had also scored twice as England began the international break with a 2-1 victory over Italy on Thursday.

Aidy Boothroyd's men have now won five consecutive matches as they build up to the European Championship next year.

Leicester forward Gray struck the opener just after the half-hour mark with a composed finish before Solanke found the bottom corner with a looping header.

Marcus Ingvartsen pulled one back before half-time but Solanke added his second two minutes after the break with a backheel.

Substitute Calvert-Lewin got across his marker to convert from close range before completing the victory from the penalty spot.

    The strength in this squad is incredible. In my opinion no country in the world has an u21 side as talented. The other day they won away in Italy and it hardly got a mention. Just look at the talent, Foden , Reiss Nelson, Solanke, Walker-Peters, Sessegnon, and without the Bundesliga player of the month Sancho. 22 games without defeat , incredible success. More important than Nations Lg, Neymar etc

    Calvert Lewin also scored a brace, but the report is about Solanke. Richarlison scores the winner for Brazil yet Neymar's injury gets the headline, funny that.

    Sancho is in the seniors because Gareth considers him the best available to support our wide players at this moment, based on his performances for top of the league Dortmund.
    Great to see that we still have Sessignon, Nelson and Gray coming through for the under 21s!

    For the first time in my life, I have nothing to moan about as an England fan. First team are young and already establishing themselves among the best in the world. The youth teams are successful and filled with technical players instead of the physicality of past years.
    Great time to follow England.

    I've gone to 3 U21 matches in the last year or so, and have enjoyed every one of them. The young lads are positive, work hard and all want the ball, it is great to see. Only a handful of these will break through to the senior side, but the future is very promising

    Wonderful performances from our under 21s.

    I just can't help but fear these players won't progress if they remain benchwarmers.

    The players they are beating now will get games in other leagues and in a few years will be bought by the big PL clubs and played in preference to the England players that right now are better than them.

    Why are demarai gray and lewis cook not in the senior team? We have limited wingers and cook has got to be better than delph and henderson surely
