Liverpool v Bayern Munich (Tues, 20:00 GMT)

    Liverpool

Champions League or the Premier League? There's that all-important question again.

    Here's what Hendo thinks...

“If we had to choose? We’d choose both. It’s not about favouring one competition.

“We’ve got a good enough squad to challenge in more than one.”

  5. 'We feel confident that we can hurt Bayern'

Liverpool v Bayern Munich (Tues, 20:00 GMT)

    Liverpool

Liverpool go into the last-16 tie favourites over Bayern Munich.

"For us as players it doesn’t really matter what people expect or think," Henderson said.

“They’ve got world class players so we know how difficult it will be, but having said that we feel confident in the group that we can go and hurt them.

“It’s up to us to show that tomorrow night."

On pressure in big games: “The amount of big games we played last year can only help us.

“Not only tomorrow night but for the away leg as well.”

  6. 'We can cause Bayern problems' - Henderson

Liverpool v Bayern Munich (Tues, 20:00 GMT)

    Liverpool

Henderson on Bayern Munich: “It’ll be very tough.

“They’re only two points off Dortmund in the domestic league and have been consistent finalists and semi-finalists.

“At the same time we’re confident we can cause them problems.”

    Jordan Henderson
  7. 'We have enough quality to replace Van Dijk' - Henderson

Liverpool v Bayern Munich (Tues, 20:00 GMT)

    Liverpool

On playing as a centre-back: “Obviously I’d give it everything. I’d be ready.

“When I spoke to the manager about playing full-back it was a question of would I be confident.

“Whatever position I’m asked to play I’ll be 100% ready and give it everything.

“Wherever I’m asked to play I’ll give everything for the team.”

On Virgil Van Dijk's absence: “I think you can see how important he is for us as a team.

“I think we’ve got enough quality to replace him. It’s up to the whole team to help us defend.”

  8. 'We're ready for the challenge and to give everything' - Henderson

Liverpool v Bayern Munich (Tues, 20:00 GMT)

    Liverpool

Henderson on Liverpool's Marbella warm weather training break: “We thought there’d be a bit more sun but there wasn’t!

“I think the idea was just to be away as a group. I think that’s the most important thing.

“It was a good week. Training was intense and everyone is in good shape.

"That’s why I think Marbella was important, to prepare for the next few months.

“We’ve got some tough games but I feel like we’re ready for the challenge and to give everything.

  9. 'I can see Keita's potential' - Henderson

Liverpool v Bayern Munich (Tues, 20:00 GMT)

    Liverpool

Henderson on his fitness: “I feel good. Obviously before the West Ham game I had a slight problem but it was more precaution than anything.

“I feel very good going into the game tomorrow.”

On Naby Keita's form: “I think everyone can see how good Naby is as a footballer.

“As I know myself, coming to Liverpool, such a huge club, and changing to the Premier League is tough.

“It takes time to adapt. I think he’s done really well in certain games.

“He’s getting used to the way we’re playing and the manager has helped him improve.

“I can see the potential coming out but it takes time. Over the last couple of games you can see what he offers.”

“But for now it’s the Champions League and we have to do our best tomorrow.

“Thank God we don’t have to decide that right now."

On the Anfield atmosphere: “We have to create an atmosphere on the pitch tomorrow and make it easier for the people.

“It will be outstanding tomorrow night. It’s something to enjoy. There’s a lot of power involved in the atmosphere.

“No, playing home first is not usually an advantage but we don’t care," Klopp told the press.

“These games usually when two good teams face each other will not be decided in one game.

“We respect the competition. There are two legs to play. We will be 100% focused for both of them.

“Let’s create a basis we can use in the second game. It’s different but possible.”

    Liverpool

“The welcome was outstanding and since then it became better and better.

“We grew together and developed together.

“I’m not always in the city very much so I’m not sure what people say about me but I feel it in the stadium is very positive.

Liverpool v Bayern Munich (Tues, 20:00 GMT)

    Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp is asked whether he sees any similarities with his Liverpool side and opponents Bayern Munich.

“No, we had different targets at the start of the season," he said.

“They were six-times in a row champion. We have maybe achieved a little bit more than expected, Bayern maybe a bit less.

“Both are in a similar situation but there is a long way to go. We only think about the Champions League situation tomorrow night.

“If I wasn’t involved tomorrow I would try and buy a ticket.”

    Jurgen Klopp
  17. 'Bayern are dangerous' - Klopp

Liverpool v Bayern Munich (Tues, 20:00 GMT)

    Liverpool

Klopp on Bayern Munich: “When [Bayern] Munich has a difficult situation it’s mooring on a really high level.

“After being six years the dominator of the league it was clear this year would be different.

“To become the champion you need to have the desire of a newcomer combined with the quality of a real contender.

“Maybe at the start of the season they didn’t have that but now they are chasing the situation.

“From my point of view that makes them even more dangerous.

“Let’s enjoy the game together. We are a really strong side and that is what we have to show.”

    Bayern Munich
