  1. Goodbye

A cracking afternoon of League Cup action sees Rangers and Aberdeen book their place in the quarter finals.

Holders Celtic are drawn to face Partick Thistle, Rangers will travel to Livingston, while Kilmarnock host Hibernian and Hearts will welcome the Dons to Tynecastle.

The ties will be played on 24-26 September.

Thanks for your company, enjoy what's left of your weekend. Cheers!

  2. Both fans happy (ish)

    FT: Dundee 1-2 Aberdeen

    Willie Miller

Former Aberdeen defender on BBC Radio Scotland

Quote Message: Both sets of fans applauding their teams off the park. I know why Aberdeen fans are applauding, but I can fully understand why the Dundee fans are as well because of the way their team played and there are good signs there for the season ahead.
  3. 'Our quality shone through' - Gerrard

    FT: East Fife 0-3 Rangers

Steven Gerrard tells Rangers TV: "I thought we were very professional. We were honest in our work and showed a good attitude.

"Our quality shone through in the end.

"Coming to a place like this, on a pitch like this with the wind swirling, it was always going to be a challenge and a test.

    "But we've passed that."

  4. 'Worst Dons performance'

    FT: Dundee 1-2 Aberdeen

    Willie Miller

Former Aberdeen defender on BBC Radio Scotland

Quote Message: I think the manager [Derek McInnes] will look on it in a slightly different fashion - rather than relief he'll see it as grit and determination playing the game right to the very end. It wasn't an inspirational performance, probably Aberdeen's worst performance for a long time. Maybe Thursday night [losing to Rijeka] could be why they were flat but they didn't produce anything of merit at all but managed to show resolution and get the result.

  7. FULL-TIME Dundee 1-2 Aberdeen

With a peep, peep of his whistle, referee Willie Collum brings the game to an end. Aberdeen come from behind to see off Dundee and book a League Cup quarter-final tie against Hearts at Tynecastle.

  8. Last legs at Dens

    ET: Dundee 1-2 Aberdeen

    Willie Miller

Former Aberdeen defender on BBC Radio Scotland

Quote Message: The legs are definitely heavy and they've set their pattern out, they just want to soak up all the pressure Dundee can throw at them. And Dundee are certainly doing that.
  9. Get Involved - League Cup draw reaction

    #bbcsportscot

Atholl: What a surprise, the Old Firm get drawn against the two weakest teams. I'm shocked.

  10. Dons 'dug themselves out a result'

    ET: Dundee 1-2 Aberdeen

    Willie Miller

Former Aberdeen defender on BBC Radio Scotland

Quote Message: They've got themselves in the lead, they've dug themselves a result out and shown the character to do that because they've been far away from their best this afternoon. Dundee deserve a lot of credit but looks like they're going out.
  11. ADDED TIME

    Dundee 1-2 Aberdeen

Four added minutes at Dens Park. Will Aberdeen hold on? Can Dundee find a late equaliser to force a penalty shoot-out?

  12. Get Involved - League Cup draw reaction

    #bbcsportscot

Andrew Hez: Always good to avoid the Old Firm in the quarters. But a trip to Rugby Park is never easy. Come on the Hibees!

  13. Dundee spurn chance

    Dundee 1-2 Aberdeen

Great chance for the home side. The ball bounces around the box and Josh Meekings gets his head to it, but Joe Lewis is in his way.

It's end to end stuff in extra-time here.

  14. Play it again, Sam

    Dundee 1-2 Aberdeen

Sam Cosgrove should seal the tie. It's a good ball from Shay Logan, but the striker mis-hits the ball and it dribbles wide.

  15. Get Involved - League Cup draw reaction

    #bbcsportscot

Michael Duthie: Stunned and staggered to see Celtic get a home draw against a lower league team.

    Stuart Paterson: Predictable draw.

  16. Dundee 1-2 Aberdeen

Paul McGowan has a chance for Dundee, but elects to try to lob it over man mountain Joe Lewis, and instead all he does is give the Dons goalkeeper an easy save to make.

  17. Who will progress to face Hearts?

    Dundee 1-2 Aberdeen

The winners of this tie will face the Jambos in the last eight. As things stand, the head of Sam Cosgrove has nudged the Dons in front...
