    Bolton's University of Bolton Stadium

So part-timers Halifax complete the set of Challenge Cup semi-finalists after battling to victory at Bradford this afternoon.

Fax will take on Super League leaders St Helens at the University of Bolton Stadium next month.

The home of Bolton Wanderers FC will host a Challenge Cup triple-header on 27 July

Both men's semi-final matches will take place at the venue, along with the women's final for the first time.

    #bbcrl

    Jamie Peacock

Former England captain on BBC Two

It is the biggest challenge out there. For Halifax it is about the day out at the semi-final, enjoying it as a player and trying to play your best rugby and score a couple of tries.

I don't think they are going to win that.

    FT: Bradford 16-20 Halifax

Quote Message: It is a hard way to lose. It was a great contest and we gave it a great shot. It has been a good story for us but now it is back to the run-of-the-mill of the Championship. It came down to missed tackles but you have to credit Halifax as they came with a game-plan. We defended great but just got shaded on possession. from John Kear Bradford coach on BBC Two

  14. TRY: Bradford 16-20 Halifax

    James Woodburn-Hall, goal con Tyrer

    And Fax do reply!

James Woodburn-Hall set up their last try, but this one is all his own work.

He throws in a dummy then steps on the gas and breaks the Bradford line.

Woodburn-Hall has support but he doesn't need it as he dummies again and goes over. A brilliant solo score.

Steve Tyrer kicks the goal and Halifax are a score ahead heading into the final five.

  15. Post update

    Bradford 16-14 Halifax

    What response do Halifax have?

Their Challenge Cup dreams are looking like they might be slipping away.

Dalton Grant does well to gather a high Scott Murrell kick in front of his own line on the last Fax tackle.

  16. TRY: Bradford 16-14 Halifax

    Matty Wildie, goal con missed

Kevin Larroyer takes the ball into contact, but it spits out under pressure from three Bradford players.

Matty Wildie was the man on hand to take advantage and put Bradford back ahead.

Jordan Lilley cannot add the extras from the left of the sticks.

The rain is making conditions tricky at Odsal.

  17. TRY REVIEW

    Bradford 12-14 Halifax

Bradford's Matty Wildie picks up a loose ball after it popped out in a tackle and wins a foot-race to the line.

The game remains close, with the sides slugging it out.

  19. TRY: Bradford 12-14 Halifax

    Scott Grix, goal con Tyrer

This time Fax do find the breakthrough.

A great break and offload from James Woodburn-Hall sets up Quentin Laulu-Togaga'e and he streaks through before setting up Scott Grix for the score.

Steve Tyrer adds the extras from in front of the post and the visitors are back ahead.

  20. Post update

    Bradford 12-8 Halifax

Halifax benefit from a scrappy period of play as Scott Murrell's kick is charged down and they regain the ball.

The visitors work their way up to 10 metres of the line but can't find a way through again as Murrell is stopped short.

Brandon Moore knocks on on the last tackle, which lets the Bulls off the hook.
