Harlequins scored seven tries to record an emphatic Premiership win against Worcester at The Stoop.

Quins moved back up to third as they had a bonus point secured by half-time courtesy of Joe Marchant, Gabriel Ibitoye, Mike Brown and Jack Clifford.

Danny Care, Ben Tapuai and James Lang added further scores after the break.

Worcester claimed a bonus point of their own with five tries from Jack Singleton, Bryce Heem, Josh Adams, Michael Heaney and Tom Howe.

Quins' fourth home Premiership win in a row was kick-started by centre Marchant going over inside 50 seconds, before Ibitoye's burst down the left wing put them further ahead soon after.

Warriors were three tries behind after just 17 minutes before they could mount any response through hooker Singleton and despite their five tries, were never close to threatening Quins' lead.

The bonus point did move Alan Solomons' side five clear of bottom-placed Newcastle, who were beaten 30-13 at Bath.

Tries for Brown and Care took their all-time Harlequins tallies to 87 and 76 respectively, moving England full-back Brown to within two of club record try-scorer Ugo Monye.

However, Brown's afternoon was not without its blemishes as he was sin-binned in the second half for failing to release Worcester and Wales winger Adams in the tackle.

Harlequins head of rugby Paul Gustard:

"To score that amount of tries with the conviction and variation in attack we did is very satisfying.

"But, as a defence coach I'm not too happy with how we leaked a few tries towards the end.

"We've just got to look at the next game and make sure we're motivated and prepared and make sure the plans we want to bring in can be implemented.

"It's all about bite size chunks at the moment, I'm not interested in the game after Bristol next week at present."

Worcester director of rugby Alan Solomons told BBC Hereford & Worcester:

"The key midway through the second half once we'd conceded the fifth try was to make sure we got at least one bonus point out of the game.

"We did that and I thought we had a real chance for a second bonus point at the end. Had it not been for one or two defensive lapses, we could've got within seven points.

"But, the start to the game really set the tone and we were playing catch-up from eight minutes in. Momentary lapses of concentration are costing us dear."
