There's a mystery going in Bangor that has left people scratching their heads.

The lights were spotted from the shore, but shining from deep under the coastal waters. And, of course, they're shaped like little space ships.

A photo was taken by a local resident who was walking in Strickland’s Glen, Bangor West looking over to Belmont.

And the folks at Bangor Life  posted images of the mystery and asked for help to solve it.

A spokesperson said: "One of our local residents Jackie sent in this photo of mysterious lights under the water.

"She walked round to try and find out what it was. But there was no evidence of divers, no bubbles and nothing left on the shore line.

"The lights flickered at times, coming on and off at random intervals. Does anyone have any idea what they could be? Is this the start of an alien invasion?"
