A 96-year-old woman has lost sentimental jewellery after being targeted in a robbery in South Belfast on Friday.
At around 9pm her apartment in the Finaghy Road South area was broken into and the intruders went through her bedroom and made off with two gold watches.
The time pieces were a gents watch inscribed with "JMCCG 1948" and a gold ladies watch inscribed with "EG"
The woman was not confronted by the intruders but has been left shaken by the ordeal.
A police officer posted on the PSNI South Belfast Facebook page : "On the evening of Friday 14th March 2019 at around 9pm an apartment in the Finaghy South Area of Belfast was broken into!
"The home owner is a 96 year old lady who fortunately was not confronted by these intruders but has been left shaken.
"The suspect went through her bedroom and got away with a lot of jewellery, all of which had sentimental value.
We are hoping you can help us locate and return the stolen items to this lady .. the most identifiable items are
- a gold gents watch inscribed with "JMCCG 1948"
- a gold ladies watch inscribed with "EG"
