The Menagerie bar in South Belfast has ranked amongst the top 50 best 'dive bars' in Europe.
The pub located on University Street came in at number 44 on the list created by the 'Big Seven Travel' website.
A 'dive bar' is a colloquial American term to refer to a neighborhood bar where local residents gather to drink and socialise - but can also mean a place known for being disreputable.
However, judging by the glowing recommendation from the list creators, the hidden gem that is The Menagerie, has been recognised for all the right reasons.
The list makers said: "With a long tradition of wonderful live music and clubnights, this former paint store-turned-bar is dive-y nightlife at its very best. It puts on regular live music, artsy pop ups and general good banter".
Two bars in Dublin also made the list.
R.I.O.T in the Temple bar area ranked at number 10, while Bruxelles on Harry's Street came in at number 30.
