Everyone has a reason for running a half marathon , whether it be to raise money for a special cause, to help with general mental and physical well-being or to reach a fitness goal or personal best.

We're pulling together some inspirational stories from our readers and why they're running the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon on September 22. Submit #YourRunningStory here .

Name: Tracy Lavery

Tracy's Running Story: I began running three years ago when I joined the West Belfast Coolers running club.

Together we have ran 5ks, 10ks, 1/2 marathons and the London Marathon . Our coach took us from the first day of training to the start line and it has been one of the best experiences of my life.

They even supported me to complete an open water triathlon!

I never dreamed I could run let alone run a marathon but with the support of my club I did.

We are a big running family with a serious habit for fun and socialising.

Running is a fun, social activity that is great for stress busting - it also helps me dodge the housework!

I love my running life!
