IKEA Belfast will be hosting the 'Big Toddle' fundraiser later this month and is looking for tots to get involved.

The event to raise funds for Barnardo's NI, is the largest UK fundraiser for under 5's and this year it will have an animal theme, and organisers are encouraging tots to dress up.

IKEA are hosting their toddle in the children's section of the store, where there will be a ‘toddle track’ for the children, parents and carers.

Christie Gregg, Store Manager from IKEA Belfast said: "We are extremely proud to be partnering with Barnardo’s to help raise vital funds to support vulnerable children in our local community.

"The Big Toddle is the first of our events with Barnardo's NI and we are looking forward to welcoming lots of friends and families with young children to have a fun day out at IKEA Belfast."

IKEA UK and Barnardo’s recently announced their national partnership, which aims to have a positive impact on the lives of the most vulnerable children and young people in society, and to create more child-friendly and connected neighbourhoods whilst supporting Barnardo's front line services at a local level.

Last year the Big Toddle raised £231,512 across the UK.

Michele Janes, Head of Barnardo's NI said: "The Big Toddle is a great opportunity for the under-5s to have fun with their friends and families, whilst raising money to help children and their families across Northern Ireland.

"We are delighted to have our new partners IKEA involved this year and the Belfast store is a fantastic location for a toddle. The money raised will help us to continue support of thousands of vulnerable children, young people, parents and carers."

The IKEA 'Big Toddle' will be held on Sunday June 30, between 10.30am to 12pm. To register click here .
