Fairview Hospital will offer free community health education as part of its Summer Health Literacy Program on the topic of "Your Health File: Organizing Information to Help You Take Charge," at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, in the ground floor conference room, Fairview Hospital, 29 Lewis Ave.

Presenter Deborah Phillips has a background as certified health education specialist and is also the coordinator of the Southern Berkshire Rural Health Network.

Participants will leave with an understanding of what information is useful to have to make decisions, how to find that information, and options for storing the information.

Fairview Hospital's Community Health Worker, Jamal Miles, will be available following the program to help people access their BHS Patient Portal account, an important tool to access recent health information.

There is no charge for the program, but preregistration is requested due to seating limitations. Call 413-854-9609 to register.
