Nez Perce Tribe

LAPWAI - Effective immediately, the Nez Perce Tribe has announced they are reverting back to Stage 2 protocols of the Idaho Rebounds guidelines on the Nez Perce Reservation. This includes minimizing non-essential travel and limiting gatherings to 10 people or less with social distancing in place.

While in Stage 2, visits to senior living facilities and congregate facilities (jails and corrections) are prohibited, and bars and nightclubs must remain closed. Indoor gyms and restaurant dining may be open once their plans have been submitted for approval by local public health districts.

A 14-day self-quarantine for people entering Idaho from another country or from an area outside Idaho with substantial community spread or case rates higher than Idaho is encouraged but not required.

On August 14, the Nez Perce Tribe added an additional eight positive cases of COVID-19 bringing their total number of positive cases to 62, out of 858 total tests administered (7.23%). There have been 796 negative results. Of the 62 positive cases, 35 are currently being monitored, and the other 27 have been cleared to discontinue isolation.

"We must continue to function while balancing the protection of our communities. Please follow safety protocols and recommendations to help keep yourself and others safe."
