Offset is still dealing with the ramifications of a July 2018 traffic stop in Georgia that resulted in his arrest. According to Clayton County court records seen by Billboard on Tuesday (April 23), the Father of 4 rapper is facing three charges, with one being categorized as a felony.
The DA’s Office initially filed the felony charge for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon against Offset, born Kiari Cephus, back in February. He’s also staring down misdemeanor offenses for possession of marijuana and an improper lane change. Luckily for the 27-year-old, another felony charge for possession of a weapon during a crime was disposed of earlier in 2019.
During a March court appearance, Offset and his legal team pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. He is scheduled to return to the courtroom on the morning of May 9, according to court docs.
