A large amount of cash has been seized following a Wolverhampton drugs bust.

Police raided an address in Albany Crescent on Friday, August 9, and officers said an unusual amount of cash was found hidden.

It comes after cops previously executed another warrant on the Moat Farm Estate in Tipton the week before.

According to police, the Wolverhampton raid was a visit to relatives following the Tipton warrant.

Cash that was seized during the drugs warrant on Albany Crescent in Wolverhampton as well as officers gaining access to the property.

In a tweet about the incident, the force said: "Following last weeks warrant on the Moat Farm Estate in Tipton, @OMSandwell visited relatives this morning in Albany Crescent, Wolverhampton, with another warrant! Unusually large amount of money found hidden inside. Further enquiries to be made!"

Police also posted an image of the warrant taking place. In the pictures you can see cops using a drill to gain access to the property along with the cash that was seized as a result of the warrant.

Police confirmed they attended they address for a drugs warrant and seized a large amount of cash and enquiries are on-going.
