A family man tragically fell from a third-floor window to his death after Wolverhampton burglars targeted his home.

Sheiku Adams, 49, was at his flat in Camden with his wife and teenage daughter when a gang of four broke in.

At 9.05pm, following a tip from a neighbour, Metropolitan Police officers raced to the flat in Denyer House, Highgate Road where Sheiku was fighting for his life.

He was rushed to St Mary's Hospital with multiple injuries but was later pronounced dead.

Sheiku’s wife, aged 45, and his teenage daughter were also present in the flat at the time of the incident on October 25, 2018.

Jamie Cohen, 34 of no fixed address, Neil Allen, 26 of Fordhouse Road, Wolverhampton , Nicola Green, 32 of Oxley Moor Road, Wolverhampton and Stephanie Haughton, 35 of Leslie Road, Wolverhampton were identified through the course of an investigation by the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command.

The four were arrested and charged with manslaughter, aggravated burglary and burglary in November 2018.

On June 7, a jury found Jamie Cohen and Stephanie Haughton guilty of burglary.

Allen had pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary on Tuesday, April, 29 and all three have been remanded for sentencing at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, July 10. 

All four were found not guilty of manslaughter. Ms Green was found not guilty on all counts.

Detective Inspector Vicky Tunstall, Homicide and Major Crime Command said: "We worked tirelessly to identify, locate and prosecute the people who were responsible for forcing their way into Mr Adams' home.

"I would like to thank the investigation team who worked so hard on this case. I would also like to praise members of the local community who supported the family by giving critical evidence."
