Emergency crews have swooped on a busy street after a large fire broke out at a former pub in Wolverhampton.

Huge plumes of smoke were seen rising from the Foresters Arms in Birmingham Road on Tuesday, June 11, just before 2pm.

Around 20 firefighters – on four emergency vehicles – are currently at the scene.

The first and second floor of the property remain alight, a spokesman for West Midlands Fire and Rescue Service confirmed.
