Police are appealing for witnesses after a horror crash in Dudley left a motorcyclist fighting for his life.

West Midlands Police has revealed it is investigating after a motorbike and a Vauxhall Zafira were involved in a smash on Stourbridge Road at 10.20pm on Wednesday (February 20).

The driver of the motorbike, a man in his 20s, was rushed to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are believed to be life-threatening, it was revealed today.

A young child who was a passenger in the car was taken to  Russells Hall Hospital for further checks.

The crash happened on Stourbridge Road, Dudley

A spokesman for the force said: "The driver of the Vauxhall Zafira was treated by paramedics at the scene and is assisting police with their enquires.

"The road was closed for some time and has since reopened."
